Cauliflower cooked w/ Yogurt
40 min (includes inactive time)
500g cauliflower, cut into florets
2 medium onions, chopped
½ tsp ginger paste
½ tsp garlic paste
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp garam masala
3 tbsp curd (yogurt)
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
2 green chilies, halved lengthwise
1 bay leaf
Fresh coriander leaves (cilantro) to garnish
In a small bowl, combine the curd, ginger and garlic paste, garam masala and salt with 2 tablespoons water until well mixed.
Mix the yogurt mixture with the cauliflower florets in a bowl and keep aside for ½ hour.
Heat the oil in a large pan.
Add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, green chilies and chopped onions in the pan and fry for 2 minutes.
Add the cauliflower mixture in the pan and cook stirring frequently for 2 minutes.
Add 1 cup hot water, cover and lower heat. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until done.
Remove from heat. Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
