Chicken: 2 kg
Coconut : 1 whole, grated
Poppy seeds : 100 gm
Cashews :100 gm
Red chilli, green chilli : 4
Onion : 750 gm
Coriander seeds : 2 tsp
Curd (yogurt) : 500 gm
Oil or fat : 50 gm
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces.
Grind together coconut, poppy seeds, cashews, red and green chilies, coriander seeds.
Make a paste of half of the onion and slice the remaining onions.
Heat oil in a large pan. Saute the sliced onion. Add the onion paste and fry for few minutes.
Add the ground spices. Fry for few minutes.
Add chicken and fry for few minutes.
Add curd and salt to taste and combine thoroughly. Cook over low heat till chicken is done.
