Grilled Chicken Tikka
The wildly popular Chicken Tikka - boneless, skinless pieces of chicken traditionally cooked in a Tandoor are grilled in this recipe.

1 pound skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 tsp ginger, grated
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cardamon, cinnamon, clove powder (mixed)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup plain yogurt
Chopped cilantro leaves, for garnishing (optional)
Onion rings, for serving (optional)
Lime wedges, for serving
Put the chicken pieces, yogurt, ginger, garlic, chili powder, turmeric powder, cardamon, cinnamon, clove powder, salt, lemon juice, oil and cilantro in a large bowl and mix well. Cover and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat grill to high.
Remove the chicken pieces from the bowl and thread into skewers.
Grill until browned on all sides for about 5 minutes or until done.
Serve with lime wedges on a bed of lettuce leaves. Garnish with onion rings and cilantro if desired.
