Ingredients:
2 ounces Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 sour cherries, pitted
½ tsp sugar
1-2 Maraschino cherries for garnish
Orange peel twist for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Place sugar, bitters and cherries in an old fashioned glass with a dash of water.
Smash the pitted cherries with a muddler until crushed and sugar is dissolved..
Add ice cubes to the glass. Pour whiskey over the ice and stir.
Garnish with a Maraschino cherry or orange peel twist and serve.
