Grilled Small Fish Smash
This is a zesty, traditional grilled fish mash made with green olives.

6 small fish
2 Indian green olives
1 tsp mustard oil plus more as required
1/2 tsp salt
2 green chillies, finely minced
1/2 tsp turmeric
Small bunch coriander leaves (cilantro), chopped
Clean and rinse the fish. Rub turmeric powder and salt on the fish. Let the fish marinate for 1/2 an hour in the fridge.
Heat the grill.
Thread 2 fish on each skewer. Brush fish with mustard oil.
Grill fish for about 25 minutes or until browned on all sides. Rotate the skewers from time to time brushing fish with oil. Remove skewers from heat when fish are cooked.
Grill the olives alongside the fish. Remove from heat when they are softened.
Rinse the olives to remove any any charred skin. Remove the seeds form the olives.
Mash the fish, olives, oil, chillies and coriander leaves. Season with salt according to taste. Serve.
