Chicken with Ghost Pepper
500g chicken , cut into portion size
3 onions, chopped
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp garlic-ginger paste
1 Ghost Pepper (Bhoot Jolokia), halved lengthwise
2 red chili paste
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric
2 potatoes, diced
2 cups water plus more as needed
Heat the oil in a pan on medium-high heat.
Add the onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 1 minute.
Add the chicken and reduce heat. Cook on low heat for 5 - 6 minutes.
Then add the salt, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric, chili paste and potatoes. Stir and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Sprinkle water occasionally until oil rises to the surface.
Add 2 cups water and the ghost pepper.
Cook the chicken for 5 minutes or until done.
Remove from heat and serve with rice.
